About the role

We are seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to support the Care Coach Connect Program. The CMA will perform a variety of patient care activities in both home and office settings, under the supervision of a provider or advanced practical clinician.

Responsibilities

  • Supports physicians and nursing personnel with tasks such as injections, diagnostic testing, phlebotomy, and other procedures.
  • Coordinates healthcare screening results and communicates data to providers.
  • Travels to patient homes, mobile units, and other locations to deliver care.
  • Processes documents and ensures accuracy in medical record keeping.
  • Ensures patient confidentiality and follows infection control and privacy protocols.
  • Completes post-visit preparations and ensures follow-up appointments are documented.
  • Maintains certifications and quality control standards.
  • Assists other team members and performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Nationally recognized Medical Assistant certification or must obtain within 90 days of employment.
  • CPR certification or must obtain within 30 days of employment.
  • Basic computer literacy.
  • Proven knowledge of medical terminology and ICD-10 and CPT coding.
  • Experience in a medical setting, including 3+ years as a Medical Assistant or 5+ years of non-certified medical assistant experience and certified medical assistant experience.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.

Qualifications

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to use fine motor skills and operate equipment/machinery.
  • Ability to receive and comprehend instructions verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to solve problems using logical reasoning.

Skills

  • Basic computer literacy.
  • Medical terminology knowledge.
  • ICD-10 and CPT coding experience.
  • Ability to communicate effectively.
  • Ability to travel frequently.
  • Ability to handle emergencies and assume leadership roles.
  • Ability to maintain certifications and quality control standards.

Pay and Schedule

The hourly pay for this role will range from $16.15 to $28.80 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.

Pay

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).

Schedule

This position requires frequent travel to various clinics within the assigned market, including overnight travel. The exact schedule will be determined based on the needs of the program.
