Care Assistant (Days)

About the Role

We are seeking talented and caring individuals to join our team at Croftbank Care Home as a Care Assistant, working 33 hours per week on day shifts. As a Care Assistant, you will be at the forefront of resident engagement, supporting and encouraging meaningful interactions to ensure residents live with purpose and connection. You will participate in person-centred activities, outings, and events, and promote lifestyle and wellbeing choices for all residents.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the highest quality, person-centred care for all residents, supporting the delivery of each individual care plan
• Promote the independence and choice of residents, making sure their voice is heard in all elements of care and support
• Assist with personal care
• Promote a positive mealtime experience to enhance nutrition and hydration
• Support meaningful activities and create 1:1 meaningful moments

Requirements

• Uphold the values of People, Friendly, Passionate, and Inclusion
• Effective communication skills and ability to work well as part of a multi-disciplinary team
• SVQ2 and previous experience in the care sector are beneficial but not essential, as full training is provided
