Responsibilities
- Assists provider with cardiovascular procedures by scrubbing, and/or first assisting to achieve optimal patient care.
- Maintains knowledge/expertise of all cardiovascular procedures and team functions, of instruments and supplies used for electrophysiology and interventional cardiovascular vascular procedures, and to provide input for equipment purchase and maintain a cost-effective inventory.
- Maintains and monitors aseptic technique to reduce risk of surgical site infection as well as contamination of peers.
- Other duties as assigned per professional licensure
Qualifications
- Successful completion of ARRT, RCIS, EMT, LPN or RN is required.
- Associate's Degree is preferred.
- Clinical\RCIS - Registered Cardio Invasive Specialist OR Radiology\ARRT - Radiology Tech License OR Clinical\EMT - Emergency Medical Tech preferred.
- Clinical\BCLS - Basic Life Support AND Clinical\ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support required.
- 2 Years In lieu of above, working in Cath Lab, OR, or Special Procedures is required.
