Cardiovascular Technologist (CVT) - Echo Tech

About the Role

We are seeking an Echocardiology Technologist to join our Diagnostic Imaging team. This is a 13-week contract position with a schedule of four 8-hour day shifts per week, Monday to Friday, and guaranteed hours of 32 per week.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Cardiac Sonography, Echocardiography, or Diagnostic Medical Sonography program.
• Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) through ARDMS or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) through CCI.
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• Minimum one year of echocardiography experience.
• Travel experience required.
• Strong knowledge of cardiac anatomy, physiology, pathology, Doppler principles, and echocardiographic imaging techniques.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality transthoracic echocardiograms, limited studies, contrast studies, and bubble studies according to departmental protocols and professional standards.
• Produce accurate cardiac measurements and diagnostic-quality images for interpretation while ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the examination process.
• Utilize clinical judgment to evaluate patient history, optimize imaging, recognize significant abnormalities, and communicate urgent findings as appropriate.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to support efficient patient care across various settings.
