Cardiovascular Technologist
About the role
As a Cardiovascular Technologist, you will be at the forefront of cardiac care, utilizing cutting-edge imaging technology to directly impact life-saving diagnostic and interventional procedures.
You will expertly perform specialized interventional diagnostic and therapeutic examinations of the heart and blood vessels under physician guidance, meticulously preparing patients, operating advanced radiologic equipment, and contributing critical data for interpretation. You'll ensure the safe, efficient operation of all equipment while maintaining mastery of our latest standards and protocols.
To be successful in this role, you will combine advanced technical proficiency in cardiovascular imaging with a meticulous eye for detail, a commitment to patient safety, and a drive for continuous learning within a dynamic and collaborative Cath Lab team.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical support as needed. With the guidance of the Coordinator, Manager, Director or Provider, assist physicians, Nurses, and Rad Techs. Operate and maintain the systems under the direction of a physician or licensed person.
- Respond rapidly to the need for the initiation, maintenance or troubleshooting of all cardiac systems in the OR, ICU, CCU, Cath Lab, EP, IR, and ER.
- Absorb and transport patients receiving support and procedures away from the patient’s room.
- Maintain cleanliness and storage of all equipment.
- Completes departmental documentation for record keeping and patient charges.
- Communicates with the Manager or Coordinator all critical department activities to allow for the proper coordination of activities and personnel resources.
Requirements
- Associate’s Degree upon hire
- Medical Radiographer: KY upon hire
- Basic Life Support - CPR upon hire
- Registered Technologist Radiography ARRT upon hire and
- Must have one of the following: Registered Cardiac Sonographer CCI, Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist, Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist, Registered Diagnostic Cardioac Sonographer
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support Required within 90 days of hire

Pay
The posted compensation range of $27.97 - $41.60 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting.
