About the Role
This position is for a Physician Assistant (PA) specializing in cardiothoracic surgery at a Level I facility.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive cardiothoracic surgical coverage in inpatient and operating room settings.
- Manage a caseload of 10-15 surgeries per week.
- Perform full scope rounding.
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure continuity of care.
- Manage surgical cases and provide full scope coverage.
- Ensure high-quality patient care within a multidisciplinary team.
Schedule
- Day shifts from 7 AM to 3 PM.
- Weeknight and 24-hour weekend call responsibilities, including on-site coverage.
Requirements
- Board certification as a Physician Assistant.
- Prescriptive authority.
- Ability to provide care for patients of all ages.
- Experience supporting a team with 3 Advanced Practice Providers (APPs).
