About the role
This role involves providing cardiothoracic surgery coverage in a hospital setting, primarily in inpatient and outpatient care.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with a team of Physician Associates and APRNs to assist in surgeries and manage patient care
- Perform limited rounding and maintain clinical documentation through the EPIC EMR system
- Handle a caseload of 2-4 surgeries daily across all ages
- Provide prescriptive authority and participate in one weeknight call shift per week
Qualifications
- Board certification in relevant specialty
- Experience with cardiothoracic and vascular surgical procedures
- Ability to work collaboratively within a clinical team
- Proficiency in clinical documentation and EPIC EMR system
Schedule
On-site work with responsibilities focused on surgical assistance, outpatient visits, and patient management in a hospital environment.
