About the role
The role involves providing cardiothoracic surgery coverage in a regional healthcare setting.
Responsibilities
- Inpatient care with morning rounds on 5-8 patients, updating care plans, managing post-operative tasks, and discharges.
- Operating room duties: acts as first assist and performs vein harvesting using the Maquet system.
- Outpatient duties: manages approximately 10 consults daily, with all documentation via the EPIC EMR system.
Requirements
- Prescriptive authority.
- Board certification.
- Ability to support an adult patient population.
Qualifications
- Experience in cardiothoracic surgery preferred.
- Knowledge of EPIC EMR system.
