Cardiothoracic Surgery Nurse Practitioner (NP)

About the role

Seeking an experienced Cardiothoracic Surgery Nurse Practitioner (NP) to support a growing program focused on high-acuity cardiac and thoracic surgeries. This OR‑focused role involves femoral vein harvesting (radial harvesting preferred) and provides additional CVICU coverage alongside dedicated critical care APPs. The position offers a flexible 4‑day workweek, paid call opportunities, and teaching roles, and is based in a vibrant community known for its outdoor recreation and cultural scene.

Responsibilities

• Perform femoral vein harvesting (radial preferred) in the OR.
• Provide CVICU coverage alongside dedicated critical care APPs.
• Assist with key procedures including VA & VV ECMO, TAVR, minimally invasive valve surgeries, on‑pump/off‑pump, hybrid, and MICS CABG.
• Support a program with over 250 cardiac and 100 thoracic surgeries annually.

Qualifications

• NCCPA certification.
• Graduate of an accredited PA program.
• Prior cardiothoracic surgery experience.
• New York license or eligibility required.
• Five years of CTS experience preferred.

Pay

Compensation ranges from $165,500 to $240,000.
