About the role
Seeking an experienced Cardiothoracic Surgery Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant (PA) to support a growing program.
Responsibilities
- Assist in high-acuity cardiac surgeries, including femoral vein harvesting (radial harvesting preferred).
- Support OR-focused procedures with shared CVICU coverage alongside dedicated critical care APPs.
- Participate in advanced procedures like VA & VV ECMO, Impella, IABP, TAVR, minimally invasive valves, on-pump/off-pump, hybrid, and MICS CABG.
- Engage in teaching opportunities and utilize Epic EMR systems.
Qualifications and Skills
- Graduate of an accredited PA program with NCCPA certification.
- Prior cardiothoracic surgery experience required, ideally with five years in the field.
- NY license or eligibility.
- Experience with femoral vein harvesting necessary; radial harvesting and robotic surgery preferred.
