Cardiothoracic Surgery Nurse Practitioner - Locum Tenens

About the role

Seeking a Nurse Practitioner (NP) to provide full scope cardiothoracic surgical coverage at an on-site facility. The role involves performing a variety of cardiothoracic cases with a caseload of 2-5 cases per week. Prescriptive authority is required, and the position is on a locum tenens basis.

Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive cardiothoracic surgical services in operating rooms and full scope settings
• Provide on-call coverage as required, including nights and weekends
• Participate in patient care, surgical procedures, and case management
• Work primarily during day shifts, with additional weeknight and weekend call coverage, including 24-hour shifts

Requirements

• NP licensure with prescriptive authority
• Experience or ability to handle full scope cardiothoracic cases
• Comfort with call duties, including 24-hour shifts and weekend coverage
