Cardiothoracic Surgery Nurse Practitioner - Locum Tenens

About the role

Seeking a Nurse Practitioner (NP) for inpatient cardiothoracic surgical coverage at a Level I facility.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive cardiothoracic surgery care in both inpatient and operating room settings.
• Perform full scope rounding, call duties, and collaborate with the surgical team to ensure continuity of care.
• Manage a caseload of 10-15 surgeries weekly with support from 3 Advanced Practice Providers (APPs).
• Handle day shifts from 7 AM to 3 PM, along with weeknight and 24-hour weekend call responsibilities.

Requirements

• Board certification and prescriptive authority.
• Experience with all ages within a high-volume surgical environment.
