Cardiothoracic Surgery NP - Locum Tenens

About the Role

This position requires a qualified clinician to provide cardiothoracic surgery coverage in inpatient and clinic settings. The role involves performing procedures such as endoscopic vein harvesting, first assisting, and sternal chest closure, with a preference for CVICU experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage an estimated patient load of 10-20 patients per shift and handle 4-6 consultations daily
• Utilize EPIC EMR for all clinical documentation
• Collaborate with a support team of approximately 6.8 Advanced Practice Providers (APPs)
• Provide prescriptive authority as required
• Deliver cardiothoracic surgical care and assist in surgeries
• Manage adult patient cases and document care efficiently using EPIC EMR

Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years of cardiac surgery OR experience
• Proficiency in endoscopic vein harvesting
• Strong clinical skills in cardiothoracic procedures
• Excellent documentation and communication abilities

Schedule

This is an on-site, day shift only position with no call requirement.
