Cardiology Physician Associate - Locum Tenens

About the role

We are seeking a Board-Certified Physician Assistant (PA) to provide inpatient and outpatient cardiovascular care in Urbana, Illinois. This day-shift role operates Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with no call obligations. The position includes one weekend per month of in-house rounding and consults.

The PA will manage a daily caseload of 12 to 15 adult patients using the EPIC EMR system for clinical documentation. Prescriptive authority is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient and outpatient cardiovascular management
• Conduct patient consultations
• Document clinical care using EPIC EMR

Requirements

• Board certification as a Physician Assistant
• Prescriptive authority
• Experience managing adult cardiovascular patients
• Proficiency in EPIC EMR
• Ability to work independently

Schedule

• Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
• One weekend per month for in-house rounding and consults
