Cardiac/Stroke Clinical Nurse

About the role

Provides direct patient care on a 31-bed Cardiac/Stroke Unit, including neuro patients, focusing on assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care.

Responsibilities

• Promotes patient and family-centered care, educating on illness management, post-treatment care, and medication administration.
• Participates in activities to enhance patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance, while engaging in professional development.
• Develops, implements, and documents individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team, ensuring effective communication across care continuum.
• Uses critical nursing skills to assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, respecting patient preferences, values, and cultural considerations.
• Adheres to safety protocols as this is a safety-sensitive role.

Qualifications

• Education: Nursing Diploma or Associate's Degree required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• Licenses & Certifications: Valid RN license.
• Experience: No prior experience required; 2+ years of experience preferred.
