Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for cardiac stress testing procedure.
- Assess patient vital signs.
- Establish I.V. access using aseptic technique.
- Set up and monitor patient through treadmill and pharmacologic stress testing including application monitoring of 12 lead EKG and patient symptoms.
- Prepare pharmacological stress agents, dose calculation and administration.
- Absolutely ensure patient safety and provide high quality testing.
- Accurately document patient test results and patient medical history using online PACS system.
- Initiate BLS and ACLS algorithms to manage patient symptoms in the event of an emergency, under physician supervision.
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to providing consistent and excellent customer service and patient care at all times.
- Travel to client sites as scheduled.
- Drive company van and follow Radiation Safety and DOT regulations for purpose of transporting equipment, medical supplies, radioactive material, and staff to customer site (training provided).
- Initiate and perform additional administrative tasks as assigned.
Requirements
- Active Paramedic License OR Licensed Practical Nurse License.
- Completion of an accredited emergency care, paramedicine, or nursing program.
- Active BLS and ACLS Certification.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience with 12-Lead EKG Placement and interpretation of rhythms; I.V. insertion.
- Ability to push/pull heavy medical equipment as a team.
- Ability to assist patients on and off the camera.
- Valid Driver’s License.
