Cardiac Rehab Admin Coordinator

About the role

The Cardiac Rehab Coordinator oversees the daily operations of the Cardiac Rehabilitation and Wellness Center in collaboration with the Nurse Supervisor and Medical Directors. This role ensures compliance with clinical, regulatory, and operational practices while improving access, efficiency, and productivity. The Coordinator implements procedures to deliver high-quality patient care, supports program staff, and participates in developing clinic goals and new procedures. The position involves assessing clinic processes and operational data to identify trends and recommend improvements for patient access and operational efficiency. This role is critical in supporting patients recovering from cardiovascular events, fostering multidisciplinary collaboration, and driving operational excellence in ambulatory care settings.

This is a technical leadership role requiring expertise in specific areas, problem-solving for unique issues, and a high degree of autonomy. The Coordinator may manage programs, formulate strategies, and administer policies, processes, and resources.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee daily operations of the Cardiac Rehabilitation and Wellness Center.
• Ensure compliance with clinical, regulatory, and operational practices.
• Implement clinical and operational procedures to improve patient care quality and efficiency.
• Support Cardiac Rehab staff in program operations.
• Participate in developing clinic goals and implementing new procedures.
• Assess clinic processes and operational data to identify trends and recommend improvements.
• Drive operational excellence and multidisciplinary collaboration in ambulatory care settings.

Requirements

• Flexibility to orient and work at all UCSF Medical Center locations.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related area and/or equivalent experience or training.
• Minimum of 5 years of related experience.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience working in Cardiac Rehabilitation.
