The CT Technologist is responsible for delivering safe, high-quality imaging services and providing a supportive patient experience at a healthcare facility. They independently operate imaging equipment, perform CT procedures following department protocols, and adjust techniques to ensure diagnostic accuracy while minimizing radiation exposure. Key duties include preparing patients, obtaining clinical history, explaining procedures, maintaining patient comfort and safety, administering contrast agents when needed, and reviewing images for quality. They also ensure equipment cleanliness, identify and report issues, document procedures accurately in RIS/PACS, and respond to emergencies. Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program, at least 1 year of radiology experience, and certifications such as ARRT-R, ARRT-CT, and BLS.
