The CT Technologist is responsible for performing high-quality imaging procedures at Acworth Health Park, ensuring patient safety and comfort. They operate radiographic and CT equipment independently, adhering to safety protocols to minimize radiation exposure (ALARA) and maintain diagnostic image quality. Key duties include obtaining clinical histories, verifying orders, explaining procedures using AIDET, and managing patient care throughout exams. They prepare and administer contrast agents when necessary, position patients accurately, and review images for diagnostic acceptability, repeating procedures as needed. The role involves timely documentation in RIS/PACS, maintaining equipment and infection control standards, and responding to emergencies. Qualifications Include High School Diploma or equivalentCompletion of accredited Radiologic Technology programMinimum 1 year radiology experience **Certifications required:** ARRT - R (Radiography)ARRT - CT (Computed Tomography)BLS (American Heart Association) **Skills and qualities:** Technical proficiency, attention to detail, strong communication, patient-focused care, adherence to safety and regulatory standards, teamwork, and organizational skills.
