Responsibilities

• Greeting customers, answering questions, and explaining the wash options available.
• Standing at the pay stations and assisting every customer that comes through the wash.
• Fielding customer inquiries.
• Guiding customer vehicles into the wash tunnel.
• Upkeeping the condition of the car wash by performing cleaning tasks such as taking out the garbage, sweeping the lot, and using a pressure washer to clean the wash bay.
• Performing other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
• Reporting to work on time and following the dress and appearance code.
• Job breakdown: 70% Customer Interaction, 20% Site Upkeep (Cleaning/Maintaining), 5% Opening/Closing Procedures, 5% Basic/Light Troubleshooting of Daily Duties.

Requirements

• Excellent communication skills including active listening.
• Excellent sales and customer service skills.
• Ability to anticipate customer needs.
• Ability to recommend different wash memberships to customers.
• Ability to work as a team.
• Proficient computer skills with the ability to learn a point of sales system.
• Strong work ethic and professional attitude.
• Customer service and some sales experience preferred.
• Physical demands: stand and walk throughout the workday; use of hands; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stop, crouch and kneel; work in damp and humid conditions; work in outdoor variable weather conditions; lift and/or move objects up to 25 lbs regularly and occasionally up to 50 lbs; exposed to noise.
• Working environment: must perform job safely per SOPs without endangering health/safety; typical outdoor car wash environment; noise level moderate but can be excessively loud (hearing protection required along with other PPE); must adhere to OSHA safety guidelines and wear PPE such as hearing, eye, foot, hand protection.
