The Position
The Capital Projects Coordinator is responsible for the delivery of capital improvement projects including new construction, renovations/additions, space planning, and office remodels. Duties include:
- Plans, organizes, and coordinates most aspects of routine capital projects for County facilities.
- Participates in project design, planning, and assessment.
- Prepares bid notices and reviews and evaluates construction bids.
- Maintains project documentation and ensures timely communication with team members and stakeholders.
- Makes recommendations for cost and quality control.
- Makes sure projects conform to plans, specifications, and completion schedules.
Position Requirements
- Education: High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Experience: Two years of full-time paid experience in an architectural, engineering, real estate property management/development, or managing construction projects with responsibility for cost recommendations, contract administration, and quality control.
- Licenses, Certifications, and Registrations: Valid California Driver’s License, Class C.
Selection Process
- Deadline to submit application and required documents: December 11, 2025.
- Applicants may be invited for further examination, including an initial application screening, supplemental questionnaire assessment, written and/or practical exams, oral board exams, or a combination thereof.
- A minimum score of 70% is required to continue in the selection process.
