About the role

Initio Sphere is onboarding Capital Growth Mentors to provide strategic, operational, and growth-oriented guidance to fund managers, investors, and deal sponsors. This is not a traditional employment role. Mentors operate as independent contractors, activated through a verification and approval process.

Responsibilities

  • Advising fund managers on capital strategy, LP engagement, and fundraising positioning
  • Serving as a sounding board for deal sponsors on structuring, diligence oversight, and negotiation strategy
  • Mentoring analysts and deal scouts on modeling, diligence, and transaction execution
  • Providing portfolio growth guidance, operational insights, and value creation strategies
  • Focusing on high-level strategic guidance, capital growth, and relationship-driven deal activation

Requirements

  • Experience as an operator, ex-investment banker, fund manager, or senior consultant with a proven record of scaling capital initiatives or leading strategic investment growth
  • Eligible for advisory and mentorship areas including fund growth, capital raising, deal structuring, operational advisory, investor relations, and mentorship for analysts and scouts
  • Ability to demonstrate experience and track record in driving capital growth and advising on real transactions
  • Qualifications

    Pay

    Hourly rates: $200–$500, depending on experience, track record, and engagement scope

    Transaction-based incentives may be earned for advisory on closed deals

    Payments issued after successful completion of advisory milestones or deal closure

    No cap on earnings for consistently high-value contributions

    Schedule

    Flexible schedule to accommodate client needs and personal commitments
