Position Summary

The Food Lead Department Manager supports food area operations by working closely with the Food Assistant Manager to deliver a strong customer experience and efficient daily execution. This role helps coordinate task completion, maintain department standards and presentation, assign and support associate coverage, and assist with scheduling and training. By leading through teamwork and attention to detail, the Food Lead Department Manager helps ensure a safe, clean, and well-run department that aligns with Company policies and standards.

What You'll Do

• Supports customer service by greeting customers politely and courteously, assisting customers in promoting products and services, spotting merchandise, making purchase decisions, resolving customer issues, and reporting concerns, if necessary.
• Aids in providing instructions and coordinating tasks while respecting priorities set by the Food Assistant Manager and the store’s management team.
• Evaluates overall merchandise presentation and appearance of the food department, noting weaknesses to correct.
• Executes changes on promotional displays, as needed.
• Delivers, assists, and follows up on completing daily customer availability (DCA) tasks, as needed.
• Aids in establishing schedules, as needed.
• Affixes associates who will assist with DCA tasks across all areas of the store.
• Participates in training and development of food associates and provides feedback, as needed.
• Contributes to a safe, clean, and obstacle-free work environment by following Company directives and procedures, including filling out security sweep logs and confirming that displays are secure and debris-free.

Minimum Qualifications

The minimum rate of pay for this position starts from $21.85.
