About the role

To assist in the leadership of General Merchandise and Fashion Associates and department processes through partnership with the General Merchandise and Fashion Assistant Manager and ensure a high level of customer service and while ensuring task completion.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service by greeting all customers politely and courteously
• Assist customers by promoting products and services, locating merchandise, and making purchasing decisions
• Resolve customer issues and escalate concerns when necessary
• Provide instructions and coordinate tasks in alignment with priorities set by the Assistant Manager of General Merchandise and Fashion and the branch management team
• Assess overall merchandise presentation and department appearance, identifying and correcting weaknesses
• Execute changes to marketing displays as needed
• Delegate, assist, and follow up on the completion of tasks within the Customer Availability Process (PDC)
• Assist with scheduling as needed
• Assign associates to tasks related to customer availability across all areas of the branch
• Participate in training and development of General Merchandise and Fashion associates and provide feedback as needed
• Contribute to a safe, clean, and obstacle-free work environment by following company directives and procedures, including completing safety sweep logs and ensuring displays are secure and free of debris

Pay

The minimum rate of pay for this position starts from $21.85.
