About the role
To provide courteous and efficient pick-up and delivery of packages on an assigned route; to check all shipments for conformance to Federal Express Canada features of service; and to provide related customer service functions.
Responsibilities
- Pick up and deliver packages on an assigned route
- Check shipments for conformance to Federal Express Canada features of service
- Provide customer service functions
- Perform any other assigned tasks
- Achieve minimum thresholds on mandatory pre-placement driver assessment and periodic training
- Maintain annual accreditations if applicable
- Work in a Windows environment
- Work different shifts and holidays based on business needs
Requirements
- High school diploma or educational equivalent
- Valid driver’s license (Full G Driver license required) and good driving record (no more than two infractions and/or accidents in the 24 months preceding the application)
- Ability to lift 70 lbs and maneuver packages weighing up to 150 lbs with appropriate equipment
- One year of customer-oriented business experience (preferred)
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Good time management and organizational skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to multitask, handle stress, and work in a highly pressured environment
- Willingness to be flexible with schedules and holidays
- Bilingualism (French and English) required for positions in Quebec
Qualifications
- Successful completion of pre-placement driver assessment training
- Some knowledge of Federal Express Canada operations and Canadian Customs regulations (an asset)
- Annual driving record evaluation
- Performance in interview and driving evaluations
Schedule
- Part-time position
- Shift: Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays (shift/timings may change based on operational needs)
