About the role

The primary responsibility of the Campus Security Monitor is to ensure the safety and security of students and staff on campus. This role requires a high level of vigilance and the ability to respond quickly to emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Monitor campus grounds and buildings for unauthorized individuals.
• Respond promptly to emergency situations, including medical emergencies and incidents involving violence or threats.
• Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and procedures.
• Participate in regular training sessions to maintain skills and knowledge.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience working with children and youth.
• A valid driver's license or state-issued identification card.
• A current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)/Automated External Defibrillator (AED) certificate.
• A current Campus Security Monitor certificate from the Clark County School District.

Qualifications

• Bilingual proficiency is preferred but not required.

• Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure.
• Physical fitness to meet the demands of the job.
