Campus Monitor - High School (Effective 2026-2027 SCHOOL YEAR)

About the role

Serves as a student support advocate. Monitors the behavior of students attending a TUSD school. Maintains order and ensures district and school policies, rules and regulations are adhered to.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains order and ensures district and school policies, rules and regulations are adhered to.
  • Works with students to resolve conflicts and mediate disputes.
  • Makes observations and reports concerning student behavior to appropriate personnel.
  • Enforces school policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Speak, read and write in English.
  • Two years of experience working with youth.
  • Working knowledge in the area of conflict resolution/mediation.
  • FBI fingerprint background check.
  • Proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles), or proof of MMR immunization.
  • Post-offer/pre-employment physical exam and 50 lb. lift test.
  • CPR and First Aid Certification.
  • Arizona Dept. of Transportation Medical Certificate may be required after hire.
  • Department of School Safety Campus Monitor Training.

Location: Tucson High Magnet School 6th St. & Euclid
Classification: White Collar – Grade: G
FTE : 1.0 - 8 hours per day
Work Calendar: 9.5 month
Positions less than 30 hours per week are not eligible for district benefits.
Internal candidates will transfer at a rate commensurate with their bargaining unit language.
