School Monitor Elementary (Effective2026-2027 SCHOOL YEAR)

Assist site staff in monitoring and controlling student behavior during daily activities in hallways, classrooms, cafeterias, and outdoors.

Requirements

• Speak, read, and write in English
• Experience working with youth

Requirements Prior to Start Date

• FBI fingerprint background check
• Proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles), or proof of MMR immunization
• Department of School Safety Campus Monitor Training

Preferred Requirements

• Bilingual English/Spanish

Schedule

• Effective: 2026-2027 school year
• Location: Van Buskirk Elementary – Ajo & Park Area
• FTE: 0.5 (4 hours per day)
• Work Calendar: 9-month
• Positions less than 30 hours per week are not eligible for district benefits

Pay

Pay rates include increases funded through a community-approved override guaranteed through June 2031. Internal candidates will transfer at a rate commensurate with their bargaining unit language. For more information on the salary schedule, please reference the Employee Agreements Webpage.
