Campus Lead Security Officer - Various Sites

Key Responsibilities

• Direct and guide security monitors assigned to site
• Aid administrators in enforcing school district and state laws and reporting violations
• Testify in disciplinary hearings or legal proceedings as needed
• Monitor and report suspicious activity and violations of school rules or state laws
• Support the Security Attendance Specialist with truant students
• Assist bus drivers with security and discipline issues on campus
• Coordinate with site administrators for daily security needs, special events, and after-hours activities
• Assist with extracurricular events as needed

Required Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED
• College classes in criminal justice or related field preferred
• Knowledge of Arizona laws relevant to schools, youth, and school attendance
• Experience working with youth and public
• Experience in law enforcement or school security

• Communicates effectively with students, staff, parents, and public
• Works well under stress and in high-stress situations
• Passes an agility test for security staff
• Completes a security training program before the end of probationary period

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

• Works indoors and outdoors, including in adverse weather conditions
• Interacts with students, staff, parents, and occasionally law enforcement
• May need to intervene in physical altercations or restrain individuals
• Frequent walking, standing, and patrolling for extended periods
• Occasionally lifts or moves items up to 50 lbs
