Lead Campus Safety Officer

About the role

The Lead Campus Safety Officer position supports the Safety Operations Manager and Director of CSS & Risk Management by assisting with essential tasks and assignments and ensuring they are completed in a timely manner. This role oversees and updates databases, schedules and supervises daily activities, responds to inquiries, completes department billing, and conducts monthly building inspections.

Responsibilities

• Supports the Safety Operations Manager and Director of CSS & Risk Management by assisting with essential tasks and assignments and ensuring they are completed in a timely manner.
• Creates, manages, and updates the duty schedules for Campus Building Attendants (CBA).
• Oversees and updates databases to include incident report binder and monthly gym charges.
• Schedules and supervises daily activities of Campus Safety Officers and Campus Building Attendants and ensures that direct reports are conducting vigilant patrols and documenting activities.
• Responds to inquiries and provides information on campus activities, organizations, and key personnel.
• Completes monthly department billing to include gym rental charges.
• Manages training for Campus Safety Officers and Campus Building Attendants to include Incident Report Binder, Fire Extinguisher Training, Mini Bus Training, Conducts monthly building inspections (CEP), and all fire extinguishers on a monthly basis to ensure readiness and compliance with state and local fire regulations.
