About the role
The Office of Financial Aid and Support Services aims to remove financial barriers for students seeking postsecondary education.
Responsibilities
- Assist students in applying for and completing financial aid, including FAFSA and verification processes.
- Coordinate with campus staff and external agencies to ensure accurate and timely financial aid processing.
- Provide guidance and support to students regarding financial aid policies and regulations.
- Support outreach initiatives and workshops to educate students about financial aid opportunities.
- Perform special assignments as directed by the Campus Financial Aid Manager or supervisor.
Requirements
- Strong customer service skills and knowledge of financial aid software and systems.
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
- Experience working with diverse populations and handling sensitive information.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
Qualifications
- Experience in a customer service setting.
- Knowledge of federal, state, and institutional financial aid regulations.
- Experience with the PeopleSoft student information system.
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish.
- Experience using Financial Aid Professional Resources (NASFAA, FSAPartnerConnect, IFAP, VASFAA).

Benefits
- Flexible work schedule: Monday 10:30 am – 7:00 pm as scheduled, M-F 8:30 am - 5:00 pm.
