About the role

This position serves as a representative of Western Illinois University Office of Financial Aid. The employee will interface with University clients (students, parents, high school counselors, college and financial aid coordinators/managers) to maintain, promote, and monitor participation in student financial aid programs.

Work location: Macomb Campus
Appointment: As soon as possible

Requirements

Any one or combination totaling two (2) years (24 months) from the following categories:

• College coursework in any discipline, as measured by the following conversion table or its proportional equivalent:
  • 30 semester hours equals one (1) year (12 months)
  • Associate’s Degree (60 semester hours) equals eighteen months (18 months)
  • 90 semester hours equals two (2) years (24 months)
  • Bachelor’s Degree (120 semester hours) equals three (3) years (36 months)
• Work experience performing office, business, or customer/relations activities

Pre-graduation applicants are welcome to apply. In order to be considered for employment, the degree must be conferred at the time of application, unless the applicant is in the final semester of a degree program; if so, the degree must be conferred at the time of appointment. Degrees must be from a regionally accredited degree-granting institution of higher education (or equivalent from an international accrediting body).

Pay

Hourly wage: $16.19–$17.80 (anticipated starting salary of $16.19)
