Cooking Duties
- Cooks and prepares meals depending on the needs of the group
- Bake, fry, slice, wash and peel vegetables
- Store food
- Maintain a clean and tidy work area
Health and Safety
- Follow all health department guidelines and regulations
- Follow USDA requirements
- Follow proper food handling requirements
- Monitor the correct cooking temperatures for food
- Monitor and record temperature charts for all fridges and freezers
Service and Equipment Maintenance
- Prepare and service for all meals and snacks
- Ensure meals and snacks are properly prepared, on time, and sufficient for the number of people to be served
- Clean, care for, and properly maintain the kitchen and work equipment
- Sweep, mop, and generally clean the kitchen area
Stock Management
- Aid in receiving, rotating, and putting away of all stock
Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- At least 3 years of experience in food service knowledge and/or training
