Camp Ranger
About the role
The Camp Ranger ensures Girl Scouts of Wisconsin – Badgerland’s Camp Ehawee is safe, well-maintained, clean, and welcoming for campers, volunteers, and guests. Reporting to the Director of Facilities, the Camp Ranger is responsible for the day-to-day operations, maintenance, and stewardship of the property and may provide support at Camp Brandenburg as needed. This position promotes a culture of safety, outstanding customer service, and continuous improvement while helping preserve and enhance the camp experience for current and future Girl Scouts.
Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day operations, maintenance, and stewardship of Camp Ehawee property.
- Provide support at Camp Brandenburg as needed.
- Ensure the camp is safe, well-maintained, clean, and welcoming.
- Support camp operations, special events, and other property needs during occasional weekend work.
- Maintain safety during heavy camp usage, particularly in the summer.
Schedule
This is a full-time position based at Camp Ehawee (Mindoro, WI). The general schedule consists of five 7.5-hour workdays, generally Monday through Friday. Occasional weekend work is required. Time off will be limited during youth camp season (annually May-August).
