About the role
Keene State College is seeking a Camp Director to oversee, coordinate, and supervise all aspects of a sport camp.
Responsibilities
- Emphasis on safety, daily participation, and health of all campers, coaches, trainers, and lifeguards
- Ordering all camp supplies, balls, camp T-shirts, coaches' gifts, and camper-of-the-week plaque
- Hiring professionally qualified and quality staff to work the camp
- Marketing the camp to local schools and communities
- Managing the camp budget
- Communicating effectively with campers and staff
- Adhering to all KSC and state regulations regarding the operations of camps
- Implementing all camp activities
- Monitoring skill development and game play
- Addressing any problems promptly
- Being an enthusiastic motivator for all campers and coaches every day
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree
Location
Keene State College is located in the scenic Monadnock region of Southwest New Hampshire, approximately 2 hours from Boston or Hartford, CT, and 4 hours from New York City. The region offers many opportunities for outdoor recreation, cultural events, and a strong sense of community.
All USNH youth program staff are subject to a criminal background check as required by NH State Law and will be required to complete periodic child safety training.
