Camp Director

Hills to Climb seeks a committed, responsible and adaptable Camp Director. Hills to Climb is unique in that our program is specifically built to provide the summer camp experience to middle and high school youth from urban settings. Our summer camp is more than a break from the city; it’s a place where youth learn survival skills like fire-building, swimming, and outdoor safety while also exploring how to navigate emotions, build trust, and support one another. As part of the leadership team, the Camp Director facilitates all aspects of the summer camp program at Hills to Climb. The Camp Director also recruits, trains, and manages a diverse, highly qualified staff team for summer programming. The position is hybrid (mostly remote) throughout the year, with the expectation of staying on the camp property near Winchester, VA during summer sessions (July through mid-August). The role is budgeted full-time June through August and part-time September - May at an average of 10hrs/week. Off-season hours are negotiable.
