About the role

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop training content and materials — for example, curricula, Training-of-Trainers (ToT) manuals, toolkits, micro-learnings, fact sheets, workbooks, desk guides, and screening tools — aligned with adult-learning principles and suited to in-person, virtual, and self-directed formats.
  • Advise on and review training content, including serving as a peer reviewer to assess the accuracy, relevance, and quality of materials.
  • Deliver training in person or virtually, including interactive sessions with case-based problem-solving and Q&A.
  • Update or adapt existing training content to reflect current best practices, terminology, and field needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • At least 8 years of professional experience working in the anti-human trafficking space.
  • Recognized subject matter expertise in one or more areas of anti-human trafficking — for example, victim identification and response, prevention, case management, trauma-informed care, labor or sex trafficking, tech-facilitated exploitation, or clinical/healthcare response.
  • Experience developing and/or delivering training or educational content in the anti-human trafficking space, or comparable experience translating subject matter expertise into materials, presentations, or capacity-building for professional audiences.
  • Working knowledge of trauma-informed, person-centered approaches to human trafficking.

Qualifications

  • Familiarity with the SOAR (Stop, Observe, Ask, Respond) framework or comparable public-health approaches to human trafficking.

Skills

  • Strong understanding of anti-human trafficking principles and practices.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in relevant software and tools for training development and delivery.

Benefits

Compensation is expected to be $100 – $200/hour, depending on scope of work.
