Anti Human Trafficking Community Engagement Specialist
About the role
The Anti-Human Trafficking Community Engagement Specialist (CES) will work with the Salvation Army’s New Day Drop-in to ensure onsite duties are completed during hours of operation. The CES will assist in the daily functioning of the Drop-in Center, coordinate access to resources for all women entering the center, and provide ongoing crisis intervention and leadership during the hours of operation. This is a grant-funded position.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate services and access to resources for all drop-in center participants
- Ensure daily operations of the drop-in center, including culturally sensitive and trauma-informed services
- Conduct initial screening and intake of newly identified victims of human trafficking and provide information and referral services
- Conduct street outreach to individuals experiencing street-based prostitution and trafficking
Requirements
- Certified Peer Specialist or Certified Recovery Specialist certification preferred
- High school diploma or GED and two years of relevant work experience
- Experience with trauma-informed care and a working knowledge of the Sanctuary Model for Trauma-informed services
- Understanding of domestic and foreign human trafficking and prostitution
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Bilingual in Spanish preferred
Qualifications
- Completion of PA Child Abuse History Clearance, PA State Police Criminal Record Check, PA DHS Criminal Record/Fingerprint Check, and Child Abuse Recognition and Reporting Training

$17.00- $19.00/ hr; 74 Non-Exempt
