Responsibilities
- Work with the Salvation Army’s New Day Drop-in to ensure onsite duties are completed during hours of operation.
- Afford assistance in the daily functioning of the Drop-in Center, coordinating access to resources for all women entering the center.
- Provide ongoing crisis intervention and leadership during the hours of operation.
- Participate in street outreach efforts.
Requirements
- Certified Peer Specialist or Certified Recovery Specialist certification preferred.
- Must have high school diploma or GED.
- Must possess two years of relevant work experience.
- Experience with trauma informed care, preferably a working knowledge of Sanctuary Model for Trauma informed services.
- Must understand the issue of Domestic and Foreign Human Trafficking and prostitution.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to travel from site to site as may be needed in the performance of duties.
- Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
Qualifications
- Pennsylvania's Child Protective Services Law requires that all prospective employees complete the following clearance and background checks: PA Child Abuse History Clearance, PA State Police Criminal Record Check, and PA DHS Criminal Record/Fingerprint Check.
- In addition, completion of a Pennsylvania approved Child Abuse Recognition and Reporting Training is necessary prior to employment.
- Must understand and support for the Mission of The Salvation Army.
