About the role

Senior Solutions is seeking individuals who share a commitment to promoting the well-being and dignity of older adults in Southeastern Vermont. The ideal candidate will be passionate about helping shape the future for these residents and willing to contribute their knowledge and skills to the organization.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the development and implementation of services provided by Senior Solutions
• Set policy, raise funds, allocate resources, and evaluate programs and personnel
• Attend monthly, two-hour board meetings held in person at the Springfield office with the option to attend by Zoom
• Participate in at least one of the following board committees: Finance, Human Resources, Public Relations and Development, Program and Planning, Public Policy, Board Development

Requirements

• Three-year term commitment
• Pass a background check
• Sign a conflict of interest statement
• Sign a confidentiality agreement

Qualifications

• Expertise in nonprofit governance, finance, fundraising, strategic planning, marketing, legal aid, or senior services

Skills

• Strong leadership and organizational skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team
• Experience in relevant fields such as finance, fundraising, or public policy
