Call Center Specialist, 3:00 pm - 11:00 pm Saturday and Sunday
About the Role
Brentwood Hospital is looking for a dynamic Call Center Specialist to join our team of professionals dedicated to providing help and hope to individuals and families for improving their mental health. Brentwood Hospital is a 260-bed psychiatric and chemical dependency treatment facility located in Shreveport, Louisiana, serving Louisiana, East Texas, and South Arkansas for over 45 years. We provide quality services to children, adolescents, adults, and seniors, helping individuals and families achieve optimal mental health.
Responsibilities
- Answer telephone within 3 rings using the appropriate greeting and obtain all pertinent clinical, demographic, and insurance information from the caller to determine their needs.
- Perform telephonic risk assessment to determine the level of suicidality/homicidality with callers in crisis; utilize 911 emergency systems when a caller is at serious risk of harming self or others.
- Accurately and thoroughly complete the Inquiry Call Sheet (ICS) to include obtained information and outcome of telephonic assessment.
- Schedule assessments, psychiatric evaluations, and admissions with potential patients or referral sources.
- Explain the evaluation and admission process to potential patients or referral sources and inform them of necessary items to bring for hospital stay.
- Receive intake calls and unplanned individual/family walk-ins with compassion, empathy, a sense of service, and urgency to ensure each person receives an appropriate assessment by intake or referral.
- Maintain thorough and accurate documentation of calls and other intake-related paperwork.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or Social Services field required.
Schedule
Part-time position: 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM, Saturday and Sunday.
