California Licensed Attorney (Remote and Contract)

About the role

Latitude is seeking a California licensed litigation attorney to support a civil litigation law firm with offices in Northern California and Southern California on a part-time or full-time basis. This is a contract position. This opportunity is flexible without a specific hours requirement. The role is completely remote without any travel expectations.

Responsibilities

• Support the firm with a variety of matters including employment, commercial and personal injury cases
• Work on drafting and reviewing pleadings, written discovery, motions and hearings
• Be organized, responsive, and well-suited to the pace and flexibility of engagement-based work
• Work approximately 20–40 hours per week depending on what works best for the candidate

Requirements

• Experience working on employment, commercial and/or personal injury cases
• Experience with drafting and reviewing pleadings, written discovery, motions and hearings
• Organized, responsive, and well-suited to the pace and flexibility of engagement-based work
• Available approximately 20–40 hours per week depending on what works best for the candidate
• Licensed to practice law in California and in good standing
• J.D. from an accredited law school
• Outstanding references

Pay

The annualized pay for this position ranges from $175,000 - $200,000 when calculated on a full-time basis. Pay for contract engagements is based on multiple factors including but not limited to work experience, qualifications, credentials, location, market supply/demand, and the candidate’s preference (each candidate’s pay rate affects the client bill rate which can affect the candidate’s competitiveness for the position).
