Commercial Contracts Attorney (Remote and Contract)

About the role

A technology-based virtual law firm is seeking an attorney with 7+ years of legal experience in both law firm and in-house legal departments, specializing in drafting and negotiating a wide variety of technology-related commercial contracts. The position is fully remote and open to candidates located anywhere in the US.

Responsibilities

• Drafting and negotiating a wide variety of technology-related commercial contracts
• Handling contracts related to AI
• Handling contracts which include fintech/crypto, data privacy and/or IP licensing issues
• Extensive experience interfacing with clients on the drafting and review of commercial contracts

Requirements

• 7+ years of legal experience drafting, negotiating, and reviewing a variety of commercial contracts
• Experience handling technology-related commercial contracts in both law firm and in-house settings
• Extensive experience interfacing with clients on the drafting and reviewing of commercial contracts
• Significant experience handling contracts related to AI
• Experience handling contracts which include fintech/crypto, data privacy and/or IP licensing issues

Qualifications

• Excellent academic credentials from a U.S. accredited law school
• Strong communication skills including the ability to effectively communicate legal issues with non-lawyers
• Ability and experience to work independently and with a team
• Outstanding references
• Licensed and in good standing in the state of residence

Pay

The annualized compensation for this position ranges from $200,000 to $250,000. Pay is based on numerous factors including but not limited to work experience, qualifications, credentials and location.
