Key Responsibilities
- Prepare samples for calibration
- Calibrate wire, thermocouples
- Interpret calibration data and prepare accurate calibration certificates
- Perform calibration of wire and thermocouples across applicable temperature ranges to meet industry standards
- Prepare ISO/IEC 17025-compliant calibration certificates
- Set up and troubleshoot test equipment and components
- Operate laboratory equipment safely and properly
- Prioritize workload based on due dates and customer requirements
- Analyze data and make informed decisions based on results
- May lead or direct the work of others as needed
- Apply knowledge of thermodynamics testing practices and procedures
- Afford assistance in other areas as required
Skills/Experience
- Some manufacturing or production experience preferred (training provided for the right candidate)
- Previous extrusion or wire and cable experience is a plus
- Basic math skills (addition and subtraction)
- Strong attention to detail and quality
