Quality Control Technician
About the role
The position of Quality Assurance Technician involves activities related to controlling key manufacturing processes. This role reports to the Production Foreman and includes tasks such as performing quality assurance tests, reviewing test results, and assisting in managing designated critical processes.
Responsibilities
- Aid management in various plant processes
- Conduct quality assurance tests including bulk density tests, magnetics tests, and grading tests
- Record and review test results using computer programs
- Interpret quality control (QC) tests and collaborate with the Production Foreman to adjust processes as needed
- Report immediate when test results are deemed unsatisfactory
Requirements
- High School diploma, Trade School, or Vocational High School Diploma
- Maintain quality standards to meet product specifications and ensure all material is tested
- Comply with plant policies and procedures as directed by management
- Follow safe work methods and maintain a safe work environment
- Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
- Use basic computer skills
- Use basic hand tools and perform basic math calculations
- Lift a minimum of 50 lbs. and stand/walk for up to 10 hours a day
Qualifications
- Strong commitment to safety
- Basic understanding of general industry work and safety practices
- Ability to speak, read, and write in English; Spanish is a plus

Pay
Hourly pay range: $25.00-$27.00 per hour based on experience
Schedule
Monday – Thursday from 3:00 pm – 1:00 am with occasional hours required on Fridays. There is a 90-day probation period for this position.
