Calibration & Repair Technician

About the role

A-Rent Test Equipment is a fast-growing company dedicated to supporting the reliability of the electrical grid. We specialize in renting a multimillion-dollar fleet of cutting-edge electrical test equipment to clients nationwide, enabling the testing and maintenance of critical infrastructure like switchgear, transformers, and cables. By supporting the maintenance and modernization of the nation’s aging electrical infrastructure, we play a vital role in ensuring grid reliability and sustainability.

Responsibilities

• Check-in and calibrate electrical equipment with proper instrumentation according to established procedures.
• Assign and track customer calibration jobs (at a branch level) and help ensure timely turnaround and clear communication of status updates.
• Able to travel for field calibration services (2x per month) and cross-training as needed.

Qualifications

• At least 1-year hands on working with Electrical Equipment and/or Calibration equipment.
• Basic knowledge of electrical circuit theory.
• Strong math and computer skills.
• Strong work ethic and ability to work as a team player and independently.
• Detail oriented.
• Strong communication and detailed writing skills.
• Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Associate's degree preferred.

Pay

$22.00 - $27.00 per hour

9:30am – 6:00 pm
