About the role
Prepare and issue banks for employees, perform drops, balance cash/chips/other cash equivalents, verify employee drops, and complete deposits at Gold Strike Casino.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate a wide range of transactions, including a high volume of cash transactions; perform non-cash transactions for guests in a courteous, accurate, and timely manner.
- Count funds and reconcile daily summaries of transactions to balance the main cage, cash vault, and chip vault.
- Issue banks to employees and drops funds from employees and guests. Verify money employees drop during shifts and close out.
- Process and complete daily deposits.
- Process cash handling transactions including chip issuance and redemption, currency exchanges, check cashing, cash advances, slot machine ticket and promotional voucher redemptions.
- Introduce and promote rewards program membership benefits and explain details of current promotions, offers, and other event information to guests.
- Enroll guests into the rewards program, issue membership cards, and maintain accurate player tracking information.
- Treat situations with the appropriate sense of urgency.
- Conduct entry-level player evaluations.
- Verify and distribute payments of jackpots or special payouts and ensure accurate completion of required paperwork.
- Maintain cash and accountability of ATMs and various kiosks.
- Handle guest requests, disputes, and complaints in a professional manner, escalating issues to leadership when necessary.
- Safeguard company assets and reconcile daily transactions to balance at the end of shift.
- Maintain confidentiality of all casino and guest information.
- Maintain a clean, well-organized, and properly stocked work area and environment.
- Complete credit-related transactions accurately.
- Input, review, and monitor information in the IGT Patron, CTA, and casino credit systems.
- Update leadership on guest information that is modified during your shift.
- Maintain and complete various gaming and company forms and reports.
- Answer cage/credit/promotional related phone calls, potentially multiple lines at once.
- Verify and update player information and history in both the gaming and player systems.
- Communicate with leadership regarding credit applications.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- One (1) year cash handling experience.
- Ability to obtain and maintain licensing by the appropriate gaming authority.
Skills
- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing excellent guest service.
- Knowledge of computers and proficient in the use of computer software as it relates to the job.
