About the Role
The Cage Cashier and Player Services Representative is responsible for safeguarding company assets, delivering exceptional customer service, explaining casino programs and promotions to guests, and maintaining accuracy in all financial transactions. This role ensures guests experience an unmatched rewards program and gaming experience while adhering to all regulatory and company policies.
Responsibilities
- Provide prompt, professional, and courteous customer service in alignment with established standards.
- Accurately process a wide range of financial transactions, including the exchange of chips and cash equivalents for cash.
- Execute all cage operations with accuracy, including establishing and verifying customer credit lines, communicating credit information, and completing pit fills and credits efficiently.
- Maintain strict compliance with all internal controls, regulatory requirements, and company policies.
- Perform full cage cashier functions, including marker issuance/redemption, front money deposits/withdrawals, customer incentives, and Title 31 compliance.
- Process various financial services such as ticket redemptions (R/S and Fast Cash), check cashing, credit card cash advances, coupon redemption, and foreign currency transactions.
- Handle additional responsibilities including wire transfers, casino credit applications, bank accountabilities, issuing rewards cards, self-redemption units, and phone inquiries.
- Deliver exceptional guest service with urgency and professionalism while actively promoting player rewards programs.
- Maintain accurate, confidential customer records and ensure data integrity.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and cross-functional departments to support seamless operations and enhance guest satisfaction.
- Communicate clearly and proactively with coworkers and management to ensure consistency and prevent issues.
- Enroll new guests as members into the loyalty program.
- Answer and assist with all questions and concerns regarding promotions, offers, and tier status.
- Maintain an advanced working knowledge of the casino loyalty program, upcoming promotions, special events, and general property information.
- Adhere strictly to all gaming regulations.
This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.
Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalency.
- At least one year of Casino or Hospitality industry experience.
- At least six months experience in banking, casino cashiering, or similar currency role.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate in English.
- IGT experience preferred.
- Basic computer skills with Microsoft Office and Outlook.
- Ability to learn and comprehend the use of all business applications and software.
- Ability to obtain and maintain full knowledge and understanding of company and department rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Ability to work with other employees, guests, and management to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
- Must be willing and able to work a flexible schedule to include nights, holidays, and weekends.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, busy, and somewhat stressful environment.
- Demonstrate reliability through consistent attendance, adaptability to changing business needs, and participation in required meetings and training sessions.
- Must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state, and local regulations.
Physical Requirements
- Regularly required to stand and use hands and fingers to handle or utilize objects, tools, or controls.
- Frequently required to reach with hands and arms and talk or hear.
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision and peripheral vision.
- Must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, stack, crouch, kneel, and balance when performing job duties in varying work areas such as confined spaces.
Working Conditions
