Position Overview
Roles And Responsibilities
- Overseeing students from entry to exit of the lunchroom
- Assisting students with condiments, opening milk cartons, and providing napkins
- Maintaining an orderly lunchroom atmosphere by encouraging good table etiquette and respecting others
- Arranging tables for seating of students
- Assisting with clean-up after each class and at the end of each day
- Knowing appropriate fire exits in case of emergencies
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge of student behavior and family characteristics relevant to Loudoun County Public Schools
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Physical Requirements
- Sitting for long periods
- Lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Speaking to convey detailed instructions
- Normal cognitive abilities including learning, recalling, and applying practices and policies
