Position Overview
Roles And Responsibilities
- Overseeing students from entering the lunchroom until leaving
- Assisting students with condiments, opening milk cartons, and providing napkins
- Overseeing conduct, seating, and needs of students to maintain an orderly lunchroom atmosphere
- Encouraging students to practice good table etiquette, respect others, and refrain from sharing food
- Helping parents, relatives, or visitors enter the lunchroom
- Arranging tables for seating of students
- Aiding in the clean-up of the lunchroom after each class and at the end of each day's activities
- Knowing appropriate fire exits in case of emergencies
Qualifications
- Graduation from high school or equivalent
- Knowledge of student behavior and characteristics of Loudoun County Public Schools families
- Effective communication and human relations skills
Physical Requirements
- Sitting for long periods
- Lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Speaking to convey detailed instructions
